@There are nemerous types of lenses and coating. Recently plastic lenses
are selected by many customers because they are light and safe. Year after
year, these plastic lenses are becoming even thinner and lighter. Some
plastic lenses are comparatively thinner than some glasses lenses. Recent
anti-reflective coating is clear, tough and easy to clean.
AThe Index Number represents the lenses' thickness. If the index number is higher, then the
lens is thinner. The maximum index number is 1.74. This is nearly 50% thinner
than regular plastic lenses. Lately, Aspheric lenses are more popular in
higher index ratings. In addition to advantage of having thinner lenses,
the main advantage of Aspheric lenses is they produce less distortion.

BIt is important to consider the relationship between prescription, frames
and lens indexing. If your prescription is NOT too strong, you may not
need to use the thinnest lens available. It is reasonable to expect a person
with a lower indexing ratio to select a lower priced lens. If you select
a rimless frame, it is important, however, to select a strong lens. Importantly,
the highest price lens may NOT necessarily be the best lens in every frame.
Please consult our associates as to which lens is best for you.
